A few years ago I was out looking to photograph migrating geese against a late Fall sunset.  The only thing that showed up that evening was this lone Short Eared Owl who was flying toward the setting sun and appeared determined, but alone, like a small speck against a beautiful sky. This image was cropped a bit to more clearly show the owl.

The light in the owl's face really makes the shot. I like this a lot!!

A very different and enjoyable perspective, captured here, Warren.( The sky colours look great here, as well.)

a nice one against the big sky bg with just enough light on the owl to make him stand-out, good stuff WARREN.

Great light and the wide crop works well here.

Lovely shot and the bird is sharp and has good enough detail despite the large crop.
