Nice pose captured of a nice colorful bird. The leaf on the perch makes the perch more interesting.

Cindy, sometimes there is beauty in simplicity, and this is a great example. The lone leaf adds a lot.

In a perfect world, the entire perch would have been nice in focus, but it was probably impractical to move much or stop down to f16 or so; your shutter speed was rather slow even at f5.6. Also, the crown of the bird looks pretty bright; I've often blown it out on photos of this species, but I can't tell if it is on your photo.

I need to do a bit more work to see if I can bring out some details in the crown. Not sure if there is any or not.  Thanks for your comments!
