Chestnut-headed Oropendola

Costa Rica

D500, 260mm, 1/500, f/5.6, ISO1250

Taking advantage of dark, rainy conditions! Trying to decide if I should bump this up by .5 stop.

It's very dramatic like this and as an artistic image I think it's great. As more of a pure bird photo, I think bumping it up would be good.

I really like it so dark, although black the subject stands out really well, and I like the roost that blends into the background.

I like the shot very much as presented. I do wonder whether pumping up only the bird by a half a stop would keep the mood but enhance our look at the bird. Either way, wonderful pose and perch.
