Groove-billed Ani

Costa Rica

D500, 500mm, 1/500, f/5.6, ISO1250

Not every bird in the tropics is flashy and colorful :)  I liked having the front side and back side views together.

Cute interaction captured. Amazingly we had one here in Ontario for a while not too long ago.

Cindy, Groove Billed Anis visit the ranch every year. Only once have they been agreeable and landed on a perch. Excellent details and pose.

Sweet capture of this pair Cindy! A perfect pose and sharp details. I always enjoy seeing Ani's when I'm in South America.

Complementary beautiful composition, it doesn't have to be easy to get situations like this. Great work.
