An excellent image as always, Gene. Great perch, pose and background, as well. I would have to say, that the fill flash, worked out very well, for your exposure, in this photograph.

I wanted to post this photo to show you what Cenizo looks like when it's blooming.  Cenizo in full bloom can be quite striking.

Like the interplay of the colors between the Cardinal and the flowers. I'm more familiar with Cardinals in pine and tangles so this is a nice alternative and a good looking specimen in a classic pose.
