With some winter finches making their way south, I will never forget last year's super irruption with a Hoary Redpoll spending weeks in my backyard along with fifty common redpolls. The faint markings on the undertail coverts are fine for the Hoary positive identification. This photo from last year with my feeders up now. Canon R5, EF 500mm F4

Beautiful! You can tell it's pretty cold by how puffed up the feathers are, so it tells a good story in addition to being a pretty image. The darker background really helps the bird to pop.

Lucky you! A great illustration of a Hoary. I hope you get more this year. Redpolls were pretty scarce here in Vermont, though there was a small flock on one area.

A wonderful portrait of this little bird so swollen from the cold. Magnificent colors and a background that perfectly enhances the subject.

Nice work Jeff. Looks like you had some terrific opportunities last Winter near home. I also had some good opportunities but not of a Hoary Redpoll. Nice work getting the most out of your opportunity.
