Nikon D850, Nikon 500mm F5.6 pf
ISO 800, 1/640s, F10, Kayak

My intent with this image is not so much the loon but the reflection in it's eye. Hopefully it shows up well enough to see the sunrise with wispy clouds over a small mountain in addition to the lake we are on in the Adirondacks. I was processing some images last night from this past Spring/ Summer and noticed this pristine looking reflection. Obviously a major crop but it seemed to hold up fairly well.

Please click for higher resolution as the reflection shows up much better.

Great close-up, and I also like that we can see the reflection of the sunrise in the eye.

Not so much a window to the soul - more a window to the world, Warren! Love it!

Really amazing! It is possible to enjoy a landscape in this boy's eye.
