While photographing at a Greater Sage Grouse lek after a spring snow storm in Colorado this unhappy looking fellow stopped by for a closer look at our blind.

Great image of this head on little guy, puffed up to keep warm.

A terrific shot of this horned lark in a harsh looking environment. Great that you timed it to get him with his "horns" up as most of the time they are down. The head on nature of the shot really does a nice job of accentuating this aspect of the bird. Well done.

Beautiful head on shot, nice eye contact and the horns up makes it even more lovely.

Great setting and winter mood. I like the puffed-up plumage and that we can see the horns really well.
