I'm not sure if it is a male or a female. Found in Ontario on a private property. The owner, a retired doctor, welcomes visitors and he is one of the nicest persons I have met for a long time.
This bird is a vagrant but will be taken good care of it based on what I heard from the owner of the house.

The white tipped tail feathers would indicate a female. Nice catch of the open wings.

Beautiful capture of this little Hummingbird, taken in an uncommon pose that perfectly highlights all the magnificent details.

Beautiful little hummer, Karl - and isn't it great when a shared love of nature can help us to meet some really nice and genuine people.  :)

Nice find for your area, they are migrants here but pass through often.
Beautiful Hummingbirds..
