Northern Harrier

Nikon D850, Nikon 500mm F5.6 pf
ISO 400, 1/2500s, F6.3

This female Northern Harrier was hunting in the same fields where I typically go to photograph Short Eared Owls.  Toward dusk they can often be seen interacting as the owls and harriers also roost in the same tall grasses at opposite times of the day.

Warren, I like the image, but I think the white band draws the eye away from the bird?

It's snow. Nothing to do about it as I'm a lot more illiterate than you claim to be on software. I'm lucky to get the image in and out of the computer, lol.

A beautiful image with an incredible action of the Harrier. I like the field that looks golden and how the light interacts on the tip of the feathers.

A very nice image, Warren, as always. The colour tones of the field, compliment the Harriers' colours, nicely.
