Beach Stone-curlew (Esacus magnirostris). In the shade, the orange glow is from the orange rocks characteristic of the shore reef at this spot. No colour in the light deep in the tropics, so one has to find colour where one can.

ISO400, 600mm, f4, 1/1600, by Canon.
