I like the foamy ocean background, for a sea bird it is so appropriate, as well as being pretty. Nice wing pose and eye contact.

Great flight pose captured, Dan!
The much blurred bg looks unnatural because of the poor subject edge selection.

Thanks KK, much blurred? There is a sharpening halo because of compression but the BG has a slight NR applied, it is blurred because it is 500 feet below the below the bird.

In addition to some other comments, I like the angle of the bird which brings out the eye contact.
