This makes me regret that I didn't take some photos of the coots in nice light this evening! Love the wing stretch with the toes showing through the primaries.

Nice timing by you, and balance by the Coot in order to get this stretching behavioral image. I was also drawn immediately to its red eye in addition to the preening by its leg.
