Today was a wonderful sunny day no wind, so it was an obvious choice to shoot the Egret but this time with a zoom. It struggled with this fish for a very long time.

Another wonderful Egret photograph, Karl, the colour of the water is very striking - perfect lighting to show the feather detail, as well.

I can't imagine how this egret got the fish down it's gullet! Always amazing to witness and this is a beautiful illustration. Lovely light and warm colors for contrast.

A fascinating moment captured, Karl. I Love the lighting on the water too.

The image is very nice with great colors and very well exposed. It appears that the Egret has captured either a bullhead or small catfish which must take a while to break the locked out fins before swallowing. Must have been a lot of work to swallow that meal.

Great action but the golden water makes it special. It does take them a long time to get down the bigger fish- you can just feel the struggle here.

These beautiful golden settings work so well with the egret colours, Karl - and that is some catch for the egret!

What a catch for both of you! I really like the autumn feel of this photo.
