Barn Owl
Tarcoles, Costa Rica Nikon D850, 500mm + 1.4x, 1/10, f/8, ISO500 It was so dark inside the barn that I couldn't see any detail at all. I composed to try to capture interesting angles in the structure and didn't expect much from the effort. When I opened the image on the computer and could actually see the detail, I was taken by how the patterns and colors in the structure echoed that of the owl. It ended up being one of my favorite images from the trip. Cindy Marple
