Elliot's Storm Petrel
Galapagos
Canon 7DmkII, 100-400 at 360, 1/2500, f/9, iso800

One morning in the Galapagos while we were at anchor, some Storm Petrels came and were feeding around the back of the boat.  It was backlit, and no chance to change the angle while at anchor. A couple of us noticed the wonderful reflections in the water and the translucence in the wings, and decided to try to make some images.  This was intentionally exposed for the bright water and to let the subject go to mostly silhouette.  Minimal post-processing: crop, saturation, brought the black and white points in on the levels curve by a few points.
