I love how all the beautiful colors of the feathers are displayed. I also like how well this image displays the forked tail, and how a few feathers are bent upward as the bird dives down. The eye contact and background couldn't be better.

Wow it just jumps off the background, a real 3-D quality to the image. Terrific pose, excellent detail- what a pretty view of the plumage of this bird.

An excellent and very dramatic photograph, Alan. Great detail and colours, captured here. The tail stands out so well in the image, as well.
