Though I haven't had the opportunity to get out and make many photographs to share, I still visit the website often to view the great work. I recently got some time and wanted to challenge myself to try to make some interesting photos in my backyard. Seeing this backlit bluebird seemed like a good starting place. I hope to post more of my backyard finds in the future.

Well done, John! Good to see you pushing the boundaries and trying new ideas. Off to a great start with this lovely silhouette against the coloured background layers.

Nice composition and use of back lighting for a silhouette. Gives me the feeling of an end to the day. Very nice.

I like the composition and silhouette effect in this one.
