Haven't been out with a camera much lately,  but this owl  arrived this AM in my front yard. Just had to get some shots. Bright light and deep shadows were a major challenge, but I rather like the effect here.

Yeah, that's a pretty good reason to get out the camera! This is beautiful with the dark background and well-lit bird.

Amazing opportunity and image,, Cindy. I like your backyard, you have so many good birds visiting. Ours is pretty empty right now.

Amazing lighting and the pose is very nice also. I have been trying to get a photo of one these for awhile now, but I haven’t been successful. You have done a great job with this one.

Wonderful opportunity taken Cindy. The light effect works a treat. You have a terrific back yard and the large view a treat.

You know how I love your little piece of heaven in the woods, Cindy! What a thrill to have one of these beautiful owls come and visit - and you got a great portrait here in the semi shadows under the trees with the light catching it so well! A must click for the full detail. Just colour me green! Well done!

Carol.

Great opportunity well taken. Interesting lighting that really highlights the owl without overexposing the white feathers. Well done.

Great to have one in the garden, I find the lighting actually quite interesting.
