Searching for a meal

This is a Great Blue Heron in mid Summer in search of a meal on a small river in the southern Adirondacks. He obviously was initially attracted to something, but after a few minutes he gave up and went on his way to another area.

This really shows the intensity and focus these birds have while hunting. I like your composition / position you chose with the boulders forming a nice series leading through the image, and the bird framed so well against the background one.
