Nazca Booby
Offshore from Southern California Nikon D500, 500mm f/5.6 PF, 1/2000, f/7.1, ISO1600 Nazca Booby is apparently expanding its range northward, they are being seen more regularly off of So Cal now where a few years ago they were mega-rare. We had several on a recent 5-day offshore trip, and a surprise of a second coming in to squabble with one we were all focused on. Hand-held from a rocking boat, unfortunately I missed the framing a bit, but I still like the interaction. In the next frame the lower bird has a beakfull of tail feathers- but the top bird is cut off! Cindy Marple
