Perusing images from a couple of years back, was struck by the talons on this Eagle Owl.

Cropped to show that for interest only.  Tight, but meant for illustration purposes.

Have link to higher rez with a bit more space.

Thanks for looking and hope all safe.

Wonderful detail and great action. Has that rare quality of a photo that makes me wonder "How did he do that"?

Outstanding. One of those images that says "wish it were mine". Perfect timing and a great look at what makes them at, or near, the top of the food chain amongst birds.

David, Very dynamic image. Like that all of the tail was included. Well Done.

A very dynamic capture of the intense concentration and impending claws action, Dave! Great shot!

Love this-the crop works a charm in my opinion. A real treat to see so close with those impressive talons. Very dynamic action too! Somehow it seems to work better, perhaps, than seeing the whole bird-it is dramatic this way, entering the scene.

I really like the eyes and stretched out talons. The markings in the feathers are beautiful also. Great shot, David.

Another wonderful Owl photograph, David. This image shows all the colour patterns and markings of this particular species, so well.

I love this as presented, cropped tight for the emphasis on the talons. Very powerful!

Dynamic and powerful! Love the concentration and those impressive claws. The feather details in the large version held my attention for a long time.
