Nikon D810, Nikon 300mm F2.8
ISO400, 1/2000s, F6.3, Beanbag from Car

This is the last of the short series of Great Egrets photographed in the dense fog two years ago at Montezuma Wildlife Preserve in Upstate New York. All three of the images were, I believe, of different Egrets within a small distance of each other.  In this shot, the Egret actually stayed in the reflective pose position for at least a full 10 seconds before preening a bit and walking away.
I slightly vignetted the image to allow for subtle framing.

Please click for slightly higher resolution.

A beautiful, artistic series, Warren. The first, still my favourite - but well done on all three.
