This is a male Yellow Warbler in breeding plumage earlier in the Spring. Yellow Warblers are common in my area but can be a bit skiddish and not closely approachable.  As I have not been able to get out much the past few weeks due to family issues I'm posting several more warblers I photographed earlier. Other members have recently posted some nice images of warblers during this Fall migration.
In this image he lit on the branch only momentarily as can be seen by his left foot already moving to begin takeoff.

Sweet pose, great BG, and great light - nice detail throughout the easily blown yellows. Beautiful!

Another excellent warbler image, Warren. The lighting and the subsequent great feather detail captured, is outstanding.

Another excellent image, the pose is great, and it really stands out well against that background, which has enough content to give a sense of the environment.
