Some Warblers are hard to ID in Fall plumage. I needed some help for this one. I used to be very good with ID but not anymore.

In the end, you took a nice image, Karl, I believe that many of us who photograph fall warblers, can spend quite some time trying to correctly
identify certain species,( as I tried to yesterday ) , that aside, a very good photo, as always.

Looks to me like a correct i.d.to me- perhaps a 1st year female/immature? I think the bright light makes it a little harder to distinguish the distinctive auricular, but the wing bars are distinctive. We were hearing them in the woods not long ago with a peculiar call-they linger, perhaps , later than some migrating warblers? Nice close view.

Nice image of this Fall migrant. At first glance I wondered if it's a Cape May only because of the cheek but every other ID indicator, in particular the double wing bars, would point to a Black-throated Green.
