That must have been a really great series in order to still be pulling out such terrific images a couple of years later !! The tough light conditions were handled very well. Something definitely has his attention as he banks to take a closer look. Well timed.

A very dramatic image, David; that head-on perspective is wonderful ! I was curious as to where the photo was taken ?

Thanks all.  Paul, this was taken near Gloucester.  A chap called Vince runs a charity called the Barn Owl Centre and does a lot of essential and good work caring and re-habituating Owls.  His Eagle Owls are always in superb condition and clearly well looked after, so it is a pleasure to spend time with him.  (albeit not been there for a few years mainly due to Covid).

A beautiful capture of the approach of this gorgeous and majestic owl, Dave! I love the wing position, fine detail and light - the icing on the cake being the way it catches that golden eye!
