Nikon D500, 500mm f/5.6 PF, 1/2000, f/7.1, ISO800

It's a treat to get a "topside" view of any flying bird.  The patterns of the upperwings can be quite pretty, and very different from the undersides we usually see.

Cindy, Excellent separation between the bird and background. It almost looks 3d. Superb details. Outstanding image!

+1.  A wonderful image overall.  Love the out of focus water as the background. Should definitely be clicked on to view the uncompressed image for all the great detail.
