ISO 400, 1/1250s, F 6.3

This is a male Chestnut Sided Warbler in it's preferred territorial habitat of thickets and tangles in secondary growth at the edge of woods. It's a bold warbler both in it's bright colors and also in it's inquisitive, and sometimes combative, personality when another bird enters it's nesting territory. An abundant bird in its preferred habitat.

you got him in his prime colors and that you waited to get the side profile look, the added out of focus bg looks great in the image, nicely done WARREN.

We've had the odd Chestnut-sided overwinter here in AZ a couple of times recently, such a treat to see the brighter breeding plumage. Beautiful pose and a lovely setting.
