Indian Eagle Owl
Indian Eagle Owl. This is a large bird, standing 55 cm (nearly 2feet) tall with a wing span of 1meter (3feet). They have a big booming call and near-silent flight, making them highly effective predators of rodents, reptiles and smaller birds. Normally they're perched someplace sleeping or dozing off quietly, during the day. This bird's alert, watchful look is because it was being harrassed by two Red-Necked Falcons protecting their feeding area. |
