Cool to see another relative of our common Gila Woodpecker. Very nice pose, and the distant background gives you a hint of the type of habitat without overpowering the bird. Very nice.

Very interesting looking woodpecker. For this image I like the slightly out of focus background as it has enough definition to show the bird in the context of it's habitat.
