THIS IS THE LAST ONE FROM THE BITTERN SERIES, FOR NOW, BECAUSE THEY MOVED ON TO AN OTHER PART OF THE POND, SO IT'S QUITE AND PEACEFUL FOR THEM, TO DO WHAT BITTERNS DO BEST.

Classic pose with the bill pointed up. I've never seen the breast feathers "stick out" like this before! The soft light works well here, without shadows, the detail of the bird and setting are wonderful.
