Spring and summer resident- winter migrant to the West Indies.

f8 @ 1/1000
ISO 800

I had almost given up trying to take an image of this warbler,
as he was always behind a leaf or branch, but he did appear finally
unobstructed for a second, before flying off.
I've only seen a few Northern Parulas over the years,
so it was nice to see one this spring.
Quite an attractive species, with a somewhat unusual
colour pattern.

Province of Ontario, Canada, image- May 2021.

Well done with your persistence in getting this warbler Paul. Nice job on the pose as it forages.

Good job- these birds are getting rare here, and more often heard than seen.

Persistence does sometimes pay off with warblers! I like this underside- view for something different. The leaves at the top frame the bird nicely.
