R5, RF 100-500 @500mm, 1/3200s, f/8, ISO 1600, manual

I was testing the new zoom lens to see if it can keep up with swallows in flight and was quite impressed how fast it acquires focus, with 1.4x TC it struggled a bit, which might not be a big issue with larger birds, though.

Great job of tracking these very fast and quick fliers. It's not always the camera but the person behind the viewfinder that makes for a shot like this.

the square look is good but for me the vertical look would make the image stronger in itself, great stuff on this one GENE.

Impressive that it can track so well against the busy background. I generally only try these birds against featureless backgrounds!

Great flight shot if a speeding bird. R5 must be a great camera in good hands.
