Brown Crake
Part of the Rail family of birds, Brown crakes are among the more bold of the crakes. While one mostly sees them in the reeds on the water's edge, they occasionally venture into the open. Here, a pair were walking towards me along a forest path, one of them some distance behind the other. I was flat on the ground, the camera resting on a bean bag. Nikon D500, Nikon 600mm F4 FL ED, TC 14E III @850mm 1/800, F5.6, ISO 400 Spot metering, Auto WB, Full manual. |
