This will be my final posting of a Blackburnian Warbler for this year, as it's too easy for me to become addicted to this species, LOL. In this image he is establishing it's breeding territory in one of several very tall mature hemlock trees. In this instance, the tree is at an overlook where the top is only a few feet higher than where I was standing, thereby giving me a good opportunity to photograph him singing its territorial song.

It's always such a treat to be able to get at eye-level with a warbler like that, gives such a more intimate view. I can see how he would be so addicting with those wonderful colors and posing so sweetly for you.
