Purple-Rumped Sunbird (male)

These tiny - 10cm (4inch) birds are endemic to the Indian Subcontinent. They feed primarily on nectar, hovering for short durations, but are usually perched while feeding.

Even though this is a bird photo the plant steals the show for me in this image. The Sunbird adds an interesting element and fits in perfectly in the overall composition.
