Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus). This is the male of the pair who patrol my local beach. The female is on the nest now, so the male is busy getting food for the two of them. Particularly in nesting season I'll give him some extra fish, and he rewards me with close sightings. This is full frame, so at this close range the wingtips are getting outside the DoF.

Looks like he has a brace of fish there Greg. Excellent image viewed large. Appreciated it is a little tight in the frame at this close range.

Sounds like a fair exchange to me, Greg! Beautiful action capture with lovely flight pose and excellent detail. More room all round would be nice - but what can you do but get the shot when its there.
