Mockingbirds are rare in Canada, found only in a few areas
in the Province of Ontario. Fortunately, there is a country road
close to my home, where they can be seen in spring and summer,
rarely in winter.
This one had gathered insects, and was perched on a sign,
before flying to a nest. A warm day to be out photographing,
( close to 90 F. ), but always rewarding to take some images
of these interesting birds.

Superb pose Paul. Details are excellent when viewed large and the insects for the young add interest. Nicely done.

Interesting, I had no idea Mockingbirds are rare farther north. I like the food items, looks like a busy parent.

Birds don't always choose the most photogenic perches, but all else here is classically good.
