A Western Meadowlark near Miami(no, not Florida!) in Northern New Mexico.
Nikon D850, 300f4 PF, TC 1.4, f20@1/200 sec. F20 was an accident!
All C&C welcome. Please click on image. Thanks.

Excellent pose and eye contact Joe, despite the "accident". Nicely done.

The accident came out well, Joe! Showing beautiful detail and colours in this one.

If the Western version is anything like the Eastern version they are a wary bird that do not normally allow a close approach. Despite your "accident" the image is a nice one showing a nice subtle head turn and the natural meadow habitat where they reside.

Classic Meadowlark on a fencepost! The f/20 gave you nice detail throughout the bird. If this was mine I'd make it a smidge brighter.

A very nice image, Joe, of an iconic bird of the open country.
