Nice image. I like the wings up pose and the background.

Interesting view with the above and below the water action. I'd crop the right side of this to eliminate the distant tree/shrub which is drawing my eye away from the subject. You caught a good moment with the wings up, and the clouds in the sky add.

Cool idea, the POV is really interesting and I like that we can even see the legs.

A very unique image, Greg, the sky and clouds in the background, look great, as well.

Greg, I think this is really strong image and I like the very unique view of the gull. It is not often that I suggest a tighter crop because I like images that allow the subject to breath. But for this I think you could crop in closer - loose a bit of the sky and the tiny bit of land on the right. Of course, this is just a personal preference!
Regards,

Des

Well done for this unique, split level view, Greg! I really like it, and a click shows the sharp detail in the gull. The wider view with the clouds and coastline really give a nice sense of place.

Very artistic and different. Creates a lot of interest and curiosity-wondering how you did this.

Thanks Cynthia, I look for these types of situations when I am snorkelling with my camera in housing. This is on a small island 10km offshore, the birds here are very focussed on catching fish and often allow a closer approach than on the mainland.
