This is another first for me.
I watched this young piping plover run around the beach, foraging, running back to parents for shelter and some rest. While running around, this plover stopped and went for the water droplet on a stick. It had rained the night before and few water droplets lingering on the vegetation on the beach. I have spent a lot of time with plovers and plover chicks, but this is the first time I saw a plover go for water. The young plover must be thirsty.

Great work seeing this behavior unfolding and capturing it so well. It helps to stay with a subject over time to learn their habits and you have certainly done so in capturing these interesting moments in time.

Another wonderful behavioral view- so great that you can watch this little one and it's antics.

Thank you. I feel privileged to be able to spend time with them.
My favorite beach where I photographed these is about 90 mins drive.
With the sun rising at 5:15am these days, it means many 3am trips to the location.
I would do the trip in a heartbeat. Appreciate your kind words.
