It's been raining here for days. The Evening Grosbeaks have, I think about had it! They are trying to feed their young and getting drenched. This "dad" had just given his progeny a seed. I just had to smile at his heavenward look, like, maybe, "why me?". Or add your own caption. It supposed to be  drought conditions here, but it sure doesn't feel like it!

+1. David captured my thoughts, including the alternate title.

Thanks, Dave. This one is just for fun. I used Topaz De-noise  to compensate for ISO 5000.

when it rains it pours, but you did a good job of the bird's reaction and the pouring rain as-well, great that you made it a vertical shot CYNTHIA.

Beautiful capture, Cindy. The rain droplets and the soggy feathers adds a lot.

Cool pose, it looks as the Grosbeak is looking at the clouds to see when the rain might stop. :)

A very special portrait with a unique pose for this poor little bird.
Very beautiful and explicit the effect of the rain in the background.
