Nikon D850, Nikon 500mm F5.6 pf
ISO 400, 1/250s, F6.3

The Veery is in the Thrush family and like many of the Thrushes it's a bit of a dull looking bird but has a beautiful song.  Its song has a flute like quality and is a downward spiraling song mostly heard at dusk and dawn, often in moist woodland areas.

What sweet shot- I love the head turn. I call this the "hollow tube" song. :). Love hearing it- not so common here this year.
