I took this photo in order to share a view of the devastating effects that the drought in the western U.S. has had on the Bear River Waterfowl Refuge in Utah.  This area is normally under a foot or two of water and hosting a multitude of birdlife as well as fish.  Very sad.

Jake, Is there still enough water for the wildlife to survive, or are they having to move to other locations?

Most have left except for the White-faced Ibis who seem to be working in about 6-inches of water.  But, I think most if not all of the hatching is over and the large majority of the birds have moved on.

Its awful to see the reports that are coming out of parts of US and Canada about drought, horrendous heat and wildfires causing such devastating destruction, Jake.

So sad to see- a poignant statement on climate change.
