I like the coloration on these Red Necked Pharalopes and we were quite fortunate to see many of my recent excursion to Iceland.  This was taken at Lake Myvatn in some of the most difficult conditions I have encountered.  It was extremely windy and the birds were on rapidly fluctuating waves of half a meter with less than a meter between each wave.  So this was taken very close to the shoreline.  Grabbing focus on the bird itself was quite difficult.

Moby, Getting a little sea sick just looking at the image. Water level perspective adds a lot to the image.

Well done for getting something different! I love the perspective, the sharp detail and the wave action with flying droplets.

Super shot! All that water really adds excitement to the scene. You got focus where it counts. The droplets are wonderful.

Nice to see a shot with the bird in water. The splashes really add to the story.
