A small flock of Cedar Waxwings were foraging for blueberries at my friend's orchard when I came across this individual that had the red wax like appendages on his wings. It seems as though a good  number of Waxwings lack the red "wax" on the wings and I find I am more attracted to those that do. In this case I stuck with this bird exclusively and was fortunate to have it end up in a nice position for this image.

Well done with getting this side on image Warren. Good job spotting the red "wax" wing too. Can't recall seeing too many of them either.

Lovely shot showing off that nice red "wax". I guess they are allowed a few blueberries! Apparently the waxy tips are occasionally yellow, and some waxwings have orange tail tips, possibly from eating honeysuckle.

Wax on the wing and berry in the beak. I'd say that's a great success, Warren!

A wonderful image, Warren. The berry in the bill, is a great " extra " , to your photograph.

Perfect timing with the berry and the tongue. The busy branch works well as a perch. I might warm it a little, but I wasn't there in the conditions...
