This is the same Tom as in yesterdays post except in this close up he is in full display. In this image his snood is extended as a way to get the attention of a mate. For those unfamiliar with the term snood, it is the protuberance that is hanging over it's beak. In addition, the colors of the head are more pronounced.

Absolutely incredible !! The angle of the light and the shadows bring out the contrast in the "ridges" (for want of a better word) so well.
This is "Nat Geo" level photography !!
