Lovely how the sand makes a soft setting for this elegant bird. Nice detail and low angle shot.

Great catch of this beautiful kingfisher! I'd be tempted to crop it slightly to remove the dark spot on the right but that's just my taste. I've also been told that my taste is all in my mouth!

Thanks Alan. I agree, except I should have lightened that dark area rather than crop in more. I don't like small birds to be too big on the screen. Greg

I really like the setting for this and the color contrast between the Kingfisher and its perch. Contrast is perfect.
