Spotted Owlets

Caught them deep in conversation on an outside wall of an abandoned factory on a heavily overcast day. They are about 21cm tall (8.3inches). They roost in groups in farmland, rock crevices and building cavities, feeding on insects and small vertebrates.
They're endemic to India and SE Asia.

Nikon D500, Nikon 600mm F4 FL ED, on a bean bag in a car window.
1/2000, F4, ISO 360
Auto WB, Spot metering, Full manual.

The poses and interaction with this trio are so wonderful, it would really be worthwhile going just a little brighter/lighter to give this delightful capture its true potential, Krish! (Yes, I know the day was overcast).

A wonderful trio, they seem to be talking about important reasons.

Love the interaction you've caught, Krish, but I do think that it looks slightly under-exposed. Judging by the settings, it couldn't have been too dark of a day.
Regards,

Des

This is a great looking image of this trio. Looks like three old friends sharing a secret. Beautiful detail in all three birds that shows up really well when clicked to enlarge. I may try to brighten the image just a small amount to see if it further highlights the wonderful owls. Great image.

Thank you ! I see what you mean. It does look better slightly brighter.
Unfortunately I can't seem to edit my original post to replace that with a newer version of the image
