Plumed Whistling-Duck (Dendrocygna eytoni) leaving the swamp in the morning light. These guys feed by cropping grass on land, so there is an exodus each morning. The characteristic plumes are swept back in flight, more visible when swimming.

I love all the different whistlers and their cheerful sounds, and this is an excellent flight capture of perhaps their most colourful example, Greg! A beauty!

A superb in-flight image, Greg; the slight head turn by the duck towards the viewer, adds to the quality of your image.
